Charles Clark, Head of School at St. Edward's, announced on Oct. 5th that he plans to step down from that position next June 30 after serving for six years.
Clark, 61, the sixth head of school since St. Edward's was founded in 1965, said he will continue to lead the school for the rest of the academic year before leaving to pursue other opportunities.
Clark and his wife both teach at the private school.
“Gail and I are grateful to Saint Edward’s parents and the
community for all their warm and gracious welcome which has continued over the years," Clark said in a note to parents.
The School thanked Clark for his leadership and vision, and noted that during his tenure, tablet technology and instruction in Chinese were both introduced at St. Edward's.
A spokesperson for the school said the Board of Trustees will be forming a search committee to seek Clark's replacement. Clark was head of school at the Cincinnati Country Day School before coming to St. Edward's.
