John Tully "J.T." McBride, 20, of South Beach died Oct. 29. Born in Miami on November 15, 1987, he was a lifelong resident of Vero Beach. A 2007 graduate of Saint Edward's School, he was currently a student at Florida Atlantic University, and previously had been a freshman at Arizona State University in Tempe. An avid baseball player, J.T. loved any and all sports that involve a ball, he was a talented member of any team he played on. Beloved son of Thomas and Linda McBride of Vero Beach, brother of Michael McBride of Stuart, he is also survived by his maternal grandparents Herbert and Peggy Behrens of Bonita Springs, and paternal grandmother, Marilyn Williams of Vero Beach, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and a treasure trove of friends. Anyone who met JT for a moment instantly saw the beauty in his soul and his kind heart, and was his friend forever. A gentle man full of life, he left us too soon to show the rest of the world what he was made of. Tully, which means "a gift," was truly a gift from God, and will be forever remembered and loved. Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army, 2655 5th St. , S.W., Vero Beach, FL. 32962. A Mass of Christian burial will be at noon on Saturday, November 1 at St. Helen Catholic Church in Vero Beach. Burial will follow in Crestlawn Cemetery in Vero Beach. Arrangements are by Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home |
