Marion Smith Sivright, 80, of Riomar and Winnetka, IL, passed away September 29th. Marion was born on September 14, 1928 in Chicago, IL. The daughter of Bernard Peacock Smith and Dorothy Dodge Smith. Marion was raised in Glencoe, IL and graduated from New Trier High School in 1947. She was a graduate of Mt. Vernon Jr. College in Washington, D.C. In 1950, she married John Avery Sivright and raised their three children in Northfield and in Kenilworth. They resided both in Winnetka and Vero Beach for the past 21 years. Marion was active in the Chicago Junior League and volunteered at Evanston Hospital for over 30 years. She was a board member of the Gads Hill Center and a Kenilworth Girl Scouts Troop Leader. Marion is survived by her husband, John and three children, John Jr. (Nancy), Scott (Mindy) and Barbara (Richard) Costin, five grandchildre n, Ben and Matthew Sivright, Scott Sivright Jr., and Carolyn and Katie Costin.She was preceded by a sister, Barbara Ann Smith. Memorial service, 4 p.m.
Saturday, October 11th, at the Kenilworth Union Church, 211 Kenilworth Ave.,
Kenilworth, IL. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, donations to Chicago
Youth Centers or the John G. Shedd Aquarium would be appreciated. Arrangement by Wm. H. Scott Funeral Home, 847- 251-8200. |
