James F. O'Neill, 80, a resident of Vista del Mar, died Sept. 25th at VNA Hospice House. He was born in White Plains, N.Y., and lived in Indian River Shores. He worked for Crown Cork and Seal in New York and was president of Packaging Films and Machinery. He was a lieutenant in the Navy, serving in World War II and the Korean War. He received a bachelor's degree from Beloit College and a master's from Georgia Tech. He was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Vero Beach and a member of the board of directors of Westchester Hills Golf Club, White Plains. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Patricia Donnelly O'Neill of Newport, R.I.; daughters; Tracey Hagan, Pamela O'Neill and Patricia Reinhart; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister, Joan O'Neill Grady. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 3375 20th St. Vero Beach, FL 32960. A service will be at 10 a.m. Sept. 30 at Holy Cross Catholic Church. Arrangements are by Strunk Funeral Home and Crematory, Vero Beach. |
