Alfred Michael Bertocchi, 81, a resident of the Carlton, died Aug. 27th at Jordan Hospital, Plymouth, MA. He was born in Quincy, Mass., and had lived in Vero Beach for 23 years, coming from Concord, Mass. He had summered in Plymouth for the past three years. He graduated from Northeastern University in Boston, where he received his bachelor's degree in business administration. He served during World War II in the U.S Navy. He worked for Digital Equipment Corp. for 14 years as the senior vice president of finance and administration. He is survived by his wife, Doris of Vero Beach and Plymouth; sons, Michael Bertocchi of Crystal River, Daniel Bertocchi of West Palm Beach and Eugene Bertocchi of Wendell, N.C.; sisters, Ida Furlong of Braintree, Mass. and Elissa Strong of North Carolina; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Patty Bertocchi and a grandson. He was a member of the Hawk's Nest Golf Course in Vero Beach and the Plymouth Country Club. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Sept. 2 at the Richard Davis Funeral Home, Plymouth. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Sept. 3 at St. Bonaventure's Church in Plymouth. Burial will follow at Blue Hills Cemetery in Braintree. Online condolences may be made at
