William Frank Tait, 88, a longtime resident of the Moorings and more recently of Oak Harbor, died on June 30th,
Tait was in the movies as a child appearing in the Lil Rascal's Spanky and Our Gang comedy
series.
After serving in the Army during WWII, he worked for Philco and Ford Motor before joining RCA. He retired in 1981 as the VP of RCA's Government
system divisions in Washington, DC.
While in Washington, he served as chairman of the Electric Industries Association and National Treasurer of the Electronic Industries Association.
After his
retirement, he lived at the Moorings. While a member of the Moorings Club, he served as President of the River
Mews and President of the Moorings Property Owners.
He and his wife Elizabeth (Betsy) C. Tait, who survives him, later moved to Oak Harbor,
A memorial service will be held at the chapel of
Trinity Church on Saturday, July 5th at 11 a.m. Internment will be on Tuesday,
July 8 at 11 a.m. at St. John's Episcopal Church, Huntington Valley, PA.
